Located on the coast of Washington County in Downeast Maine, Jonesport is a traditional lobstering community of about 1,100 residents situated along Moosabec Reach. The area offers visitors outstanding wildlife watching including Atlantic puffins at nearby Machias Seal Island, bald eagles, harbor seals, and outstanding coastal scenery. It’s within easy driving distance of West Quoddy Head, Lubec, Eastport, and Acadia National Park — making it an ideal base for exploring the best of Downeast Maine.
